FISHING IN MAURITIUS
The Mauritian natural heritage is composed of an impressive range of flora and fauna specimens. Its location in the Indian Ocean allows to boast about its many types of rare and elite fish such as the barracuda, kingfish, giant trevally, rock cods and many more. MAURITIUS EASTERN REEF FISHING
The eastern coasts of the Mauritius Island provide great spot for inshore reef fishing. Here you can catch the giant trevallies, barracudas on lures or snappers on bait. The best spot for GT fishing on the eastern coast is Post la Fayette, where you can catch GT over 10lb. To catch such fish, you will need a 10-12ft rod with a reel capable of holding 200-250 meters of 80lb braid and a 150lb minimum mono leader.
