The West Island Sport & SPA resort offers a wide range of residences from single apartments to luxury villas. The resort is located in the only harbor of Mauritius Island and all residences have an access to the sea and offer magnificent views of the ocean, river and mountains. The residences are located in the tropical garden and they are surrounded by water. Tamarin has its own character and charm. It has all modern facilities including schools, medical and recreation facilities. The West Island Resort Sport & SPA is a luxury complex with great recreation and entertainment options. This is one of the best resorts of this category on the Mauritius Island.

VILLAS AND APARTMENTS

The West Island resort consists of 59 residences. 10 of them are two-storey villas and 49 residences are apartments. Apartments are in two and three-storey cottages. The name of the apartment blocks specify the side which windows face: Canal East, Canal West, Riviera East, Riviera West and Sunset. The most interiors are designed in white, beige and grey tones.

All villas and apartments have the following facilities:

Apartments without pool (1, 2, 3 bedrooms) are on the second floor. The spacious hall has a special furnished recreation area with a TV set and a fully equipped kitchen. The main bedroom has a double king-size bed, a LED TV, a conditioner, a ceiling fan, and a digital safe. A spacious bathroom with a shower cabin, a bathtub and a toilet adjoins the main bedroom. The other bedrooms also have a double queen-size bed, a LED TV, a conditioner, a ceiling fan, a bathroom with a shower cabin and a toilet.

Apartments with pool (1, 2, 3 bedrooms) are on the first floor. They are almost the same as the mentioned above apartments. The only difference is that they have a small pool on the furnished terrace.

The spacious hall has a furnished recreation area with a TV set, a fully equipped kitchen and it has an exit to the terrace.

Penthouses with a private pool

Luxury accommodation in up to for bedrooms. Bedrooms are similar as the mentioned above residences. Each penthouse has a spacious hall and a fully equipped kitchen. The five-bedroom penthouse has a wooden floor, which creates the atmosphere of comfort. All bedrooms have a sea style design and have different sizes. Large recreation zone is divided in private booths with a TV set, sofa and a toilet. There are lounge chairs and a special BBQ area by the outdoor 25-meter pool. There is also an elevator for the convenience of guests.

Luxury 3 and 4-bedroom villas with a private pool.

The main bedroom has a double king-size bed, a LED TV, a conditioner, a ceiling fan, and a digital safe. A spacious bathroom with a shower cabin, a bathtub and a toilet adjoins the main bedroom. The second bedroom is equipped with a double queen-size bed, a LED TV, a conditioner, a ceiling fan, and a bathroom with shower and a toilet. The third bedroom has also a double queen-size bed, a LED TV, a conditioner, a ceiling fan, a bathroom with a shower cabin and a toilet. The fourth bedroom has two single beds, a LED TV, a conditioner, a ceiling fan, and a bathroom with a shower cabin and a toilet.

RESTAURANTS

Restaurants and Bar

The restaurant and the bar are located by the luxury pool overlooking the river and the ocean. The restaurant offers exquisite seafood dishes and local cuisine menu. It serves as an à la carte restaurant six days a week and on Sundays it serves as a buffet.

The restaurant is open for breakfast from 8.00 till 10.30, for lunch from 11.00 till 16.00 and for dinner from 19.00 till 22.00. You can have some snacks from 16.00 till 19.00. The bar overlooking the harbor and yachts is an ideal place for chilling. In the evening you can enjoy the beautiful live music while having a drink here.

Spa center - RITUALS A COMFORT ZONE SPACE

There are six rooms in the center including three massage rooms (one of them is for couples), a steam room and two recreation rooms with a private garden. The spa center offers a wide range of services: different types of massage, facial treatments, manicure, hair removal, hydrotherapy, body wraps and scrub. Rituals a Comfort Zone Space focuses on the relaxation and the beauty. This place allows the guests to feel harmony and open up a true feeling of peace, joy and happiness. Valuable extracts of land and sea plants, flower extracts, essential oils, minerals which are used in this center will fill your body and mind with vital energy.

The spa center is open from Monday to Saturday from 9.00 till 19.00.

THE FITNESS CENTER is equipped with the newest equipment for strength and cardiovascular training. You can do exercises on your own or according to an individual programme with a personal trainer who will help you to keep fit. The fitness center has the following equipment: dumbbells and barbells, cardiovascular machines, bicycles, running machines, rowing machines and etc. The guests of this resort can also enjoy the panoramic Infinity pool located between the restaurant and the river. This pool offers breathtaking views of the ocean. The pool is not very deep, so that children can easily swim there. However, it is 25 meters long and it is suitable for swimming. Your children can take lessons of swimming, snorkeling, deep sea swimming under control of experienced instructors. Aqua aerobics in the pool will fill your body with energy.

THE BOAT STATION

Services free of charge: water skiing, canoes, pedal boats, kitesurfing and windsurfing, trips on boats with transparent bottom, snorkeling.

At an additional fee: Parasailing, diving, sailing boat trips, catamaran trips.

THE KIDS CLUB

The kids club has a specially equipped game room and a garden for outdoor activities. Under supervision of highly qualified specialists, children play in the pool and on the beach and have boat trips along the river. Nannies will look after young guests.

Teenagers are offered the following entertainments: minigolf, tennis, horse riding lessons, wind and kitesurfing lessons, water skiing lessons, hiking tours, deep water swimming lessons. The special feature of the hotel is beach camp fire parties.
