ABOUT HOTEL

The resort is nestled in a tranquil spot in the historic Balaclava area, facing the idyllic Turtle Bay, a protected marine park on the north-west coast of Mauritius. The hotel focuses on the well-being of its guests. It can be divided into two zones. One of them is dynamic, active and includes the area adjoining the main pool, while the second one is calm and peaceful - Reflection WhisperZone adjoining the small pool. The Westin Turtle Bay Resort & SPA is designed for active travellers who are interested in healthy lifestyle and appreciate the comfort of rooms, exquisite cuisine and excellent service. The hotel is perfect for both honeymooners and families with children. It is also a great option for couples who are planning to have wedding ceremony on the island.

ROOMS

The hotel offers accommodation in 190 rooms.

The rooms are located in 15 three-storey cottages which form semicircles along the shoreline. The interior of the rooms is a mixture of art deco and colonial sentimentalism. The rooms are decorated with premium-class materials: light marble, dark wood, and luxurious carpets.

Rooms are located on the first, second and third floors overlooking the ocean. The room has a bedroom with a king-size bed, recreation area and spacious bathroom with a separate shower and bath and a toilet. Some rooms of this category have two queen-size beds. Bathrooms are equipped with Westin White Tea Aloe Bath & Body products. Bathrooms overlook the ocean. Several rooms of this category are connected with each other with a common hall. These rooms are perfect for couples.

38 Ocean Grand Deluxe – 76 square meters including a terrace. Rooms are on the first floor close to the ocean therefore they are always in a great demand among hotel guests. The room has a bedroom with a king-size bed, recreation area and spacious bathroom with a separate shower and bath and a toilet. Terrace provides additional area where guests can enjoy fresh air. There are also outdoor showers in the rooms. These rooms are not combined with others.

19 Deluxe Family – 66 square meters including a terrace or balcony. These spacious and cozy rooms are perfect for families with children. They are located on the second and third cottage floors. The room has a bedroom with a king-size bed, area for children with a queen-size bed, lounge area, spacious bathroom with separate shower and bath and toilet. Bathrooms are equipped with Westin White Tea Aloe Bath & Body products. Children get welcome gifts. Rooms are not combined.

23 Club Room – 63 square meters including a balcony. Rooms are on the second and third floors overlooking the ocean. Rooms are perfectly decorated. Guests can choose a room with whether a king-size bed or two queen-size beds. Several rooms of this category are connected with each other with a common hall.

29 Beachfront Deluxe – 65 square meters including a terrace or balcony. These rooms are on the first, second and third floor and have access to the beach. The deluxe rooms include a bedroom, bathroom and spacious terrace.

30 Junior Suite – 124 square meters including a terrace of 58 square meters. These luxurious suites are situated on the second and third floor. Rooms have a bedroom, bathroom and spacious terrace. Terrace is like an extra room that may serve as a living room or dining room. This is also a great place to enjoy sunbathing in atmosphere of privacy. The terrace overlooks the ocean and magnificent mountains. These suites are perfect option for couples. They are not combined with other rooms.

5 Banyan Suite – 160 square meters including a spacious patio. This luxury suite is situated on the first floor. There is a bedroom, lounge area, room for children and two bathrooms. Here guests have everything they need for their comfortable stay: cots with railings, stylish baby linen, bathrobes and slippers for children, children bathroom accessories, anti-slip mats, adapted toilet, Hermès bathroom accessories for adults, outdoor shower and many other amenities. DVD player, iPod, PlayStation 4 and board games are available on request and upon availability. Bathroom and children's room overlook the garden with a fountain and a pool. A spacious terrace adjoins the bedroom and living room and overlooks the garden. Here guests can enjoy breathtaking views of the ocean. These suites are not combined with other rooms.

3 Ocean Suite – 195 square meters including spacious terrace of 90 square meters. This luxury suite includes a bathroom, living room and two bathrooms. Bathroom is equipped with shower, bath, and dressing room. Hermès products are provided in bathrooms. These suites are situated on the third floor and have a spacious furnished terrace overlooking the ocean. Thanks to its size, the terrace can be served as dining and living room. These suites are not combined with others.

The hotel's main restaurant

Interactive, experimental, original, fresh.

Set in a delightfully landscaped seaside-garden, the restaurant provides all-day dining. It offers dishes of pan-Asian and eclectic international cuisine. It has modern open kitchen where guests can see the whole cooking process and even take part in it. You can also try Japanese and Thai cuisine there. The restaurant has extensive wine list and an experienced sommelier will help you make the right choice.

Open daily for breakfast: 6.30 to 10.30 (buffet food service), lunch: 12:00 – 15:00 (only if bad weather), dinner: 19:00 – 22:30. 

KANGAN (80 seats)

Colourful, contemporary, fun.

This is a vibrant, modern Indian restaurant. The restaurant is called after the traditional Indian kangan bracelets which were used to decorate the tables. The authentic menu features irresistible classics and original, contemporary re-interpretations for a sensationally exotic culinary experience. Banquettes, hanging seats and a large show kitchen highlighting the traditional tandoor ovens create a vibrant and colourful setting accompanied by lounge music inspired by the Orient. Innovative, petite, sophisticated, unique.

This is a modern Mauritius restaurant. It specializes in a contemporary interpretation of cuisines from the rich Mauritian cultural heritage. Produce from the island’s abundant tropical gardens are carefully combined with the finest ingredients to create a subtle balance of exciting flavours, inviting you to experiment with innovative and alluring dishes. Indoor and outdoor seating are available. Modern lounge music.

BEACH GRILL (55 SEATS)

Romantic, Relaxing, Indigenous.

Authentic in concept and natural in design, Beach Grill is where you can unwind and sink into a revitalizing holiday mood. The restaurant offers a plethora of tender, mouth-watering meats and succulent fish and seafood. Create the meal of your choice at one of the grill stations on the sand or deck. On Saturday and Sunday the restaurant offers diner with various lobster dishes. During the day guests can enjoy relaxed easy listening, tropical tunes, and more softer bossa nova Brazilian at night.

MYSTIQUE (120 seats)

Alluring, seductive, mysterious, cool.

This contemporary bar and lounge is perfect for having fun. During the day, delicious, healthy salads, sandwiches, pastas and comfort food are served at Mystique. After twilight and into the night, expert mixologists shake or stir an eclectic selection of intriguing cocktails, including Mauritius’s largest selection of Martinis – classic and with a twist. Every Thursday, Friday and Saturday the resident DJ sets the mood with music that soothes, inspires and revives. And sushi cooked by the famous chief from Nepal are considered to be one of the best on the island.

THE RETREAT (92 seats)

Tropical, relaxed, airy, soothing, inviting.

Our main bar, The Retreat, looks out over multi-tiered pavilions with a wonderful view of the beach and the clear blue sea beyond. A little wooden bridge connects the bar with the main restaurant, Seasonal Tastes. The bar has the widest rum collection on the island. Here you will be able to try rum from Barbados, Cuba, Brazil, Puerto Rico, Saint Lucia and many other countries. The dedicated mixologists are happy to prepare the cocktail, sundowner, aperitif or after-dinner drink of your choice. During the day you are offered contemporary lounge music. And after dark the Retreat takes on a smooth jazzy bossa-nova vibe.

WESTIN EXECUTIVE LOUNGE (30 seats)

Alluring, seductive, mysterious.

The executive lounge includes the reception zone, lounge area itself where guests can talk and read books and food area. Guests are offered preferential luggage handling and storage as well as luxury changing & showering facilities. That allows guests who arrive earlier or have to stay after their checkout to feel comfortable. The lounge is accessible to guests booking the Club Room & any Suite category.

The hotel has an incredible Spa centre with a total area of 1500 square meters located in its private garden. There are 11 treatment rooms, 2 of which are for couples. All rooms are equipped with massage Heavenly Bed®, outdoors shower, sauna and relaxation area. Each treatment starts with choosing ingredients by their colour, aroma, texture or just your mood. A soft, hooded robe is provided for maximum comfort and privacy. From our plush signature treatment bed with indigenous flower turndown to our customized harmonies and nourishing spa cuisine menu, we help our guests to relax their body while elevating their mood. Whether enjoying the "Heavenly Spa signature massage” or reading uplifting messages from our "share inspiration" journals, our guests come away feeling refreshed and renewed. There is also a beauty salon with Paul Mitchel products. It has a manicure and pedicure rooms as well.

WATERSPORTS CENTRE

Here guests can enjoy various water sports for free: water skiing, windsurfing, kayaking, pedal boats, water fitness, snorkeling, a glass-bottomed boats. Diving is available for additional charge.

Game room Westin Kids Club Discovery Room® offers plenty of entertainments for children from 4 to 12 years. When checking in, all children get welcome gifts and families with infants receive a special bag with things necessary to care for the baby. After spending the day in the kids club, children get a DiscoveryPack® which has everything they need to make up a research. Under the care of experienced staff children listen to stories about the island, walk, ride bicycles, build sand castles and enjoy camp fire in the evening and watch films. Kids up to 4 years can attend the club accompanied by a parent or babysitter. Babysitter is available for an additional fee. The kids club is open daily.

The airy surroundings of Westin Workout® Fitness Studios feature the finest exercise equipment from world-class brands for all levels of performance. You are provided everything you need for an exhilarating workout, so you can energize or de-stress day or night. A personal trainer will keep you company during your run. If you prefer to work out on your own, you will be offered an individual route. It is open 24 hours.

The hotel offers aerobics classes, tennis and table tennis, badminton, beach volleyball, mini football, cycling. There are two pools: the main pool with area of 1368 square meters overlooking the Turtle Bay and a panoramic pool.

CONFERENCES AND WEDDINGS

The Westin Turtle Bay Resort & Spa Mauritius offers four meeting rooms that are bright, airy, and easily customizable to meet the specific needs of your meeting or event. The large ballroom can accommodate up to 200 guests and can be divided into two smaller conference areas, each with individual access and supporting technical facilities, including High Speed Internet Access. We can arrange for your wedding either in the hotel, at the beach or under a romantic chapel.

BEACH

The Westin Turtle Bay Resort & Spa Mauritius is located on one of the most picturesque beaches of Mauritius on the coast of the Turtle Bay. Just in a few meters from the coast there is a unique marine reserve where you can get on the glass bottom boat or just swim with a mask and enjoy watching the life of the mysterious underwater world. And there are cosy coves which are perfect for swimming.

The beach is equipped with sun shades and sun beds and in some places trees create natural shade gently sifting sunlight. In addition, there are beach cabanas and hammocks and drinks delivery and towels are available.
