ABOUT THE HOTEL
The Mauritius Island never ceases to impress the guests with its bright colors and various landscapes. However, the southern coast is especially charming. Here you can feel like the time has stopped and Mauritius is like it was many years ago. Along the coastline you can see lovely fishing villages which escaped from the influence of civilization. They are surrounded by endless sand beaches from one side and by green hills of the Plaine Champagne from the other side. Here people live at the same leisurely pace as their ancestors used to live. They even have no idea about stress. Before the sunrise, fishermen go on pirogues, traditional fishing boats with colorful sails, and before it is becoming terribly hot, they come back with yield and after that they spend the rest of the day playing cards and domino on the deserted beach. Their wives gather octopuses in the lagoon and wash clothes in the neighboring river and cook delicious fish curries over open fire. After school children spend their time on the beach - run barefoot along the sandbeach, gather molluscs and crabs into wicker baskets, read books lying on the sand in the shade of the trees. Here the endless sand beaches will impress you with their calm atmosphere, absence of people and any type of commerce. There are only several hotel built on this coast. One of them is Tamassa which means “a merry festival with a lot of people” in Creole. This hotel perfectly suites those who want to have a joyful vacation together with their friends. Tamassa has absolutely everything to accommodate large groups or incentive corporate trips far from cities' bustle and annoying commerce. The hotel offers a fully equipped conference room for 80 seats. Here you can relax your mind and body, set it up with positive energy for many months ahead. This hotel is one of the few Mauritius hotels who offer All inclusive system.
ROOMS
There are 214 rooms.
All rooms with ocean view are in the small three-storey cottages of pyramidal shape located along the picturesque beach. These cottages form two large semicircles. Each cottage has up to 12 rooms of different categories placed so that you even have no idea that there are any neighbors around you. In the center of each semicircle there is a pool with sun shades and sunbeds. Guests have a free access to the high-speed Wi-Fi on the whole hotel's site.

A balcony or a terrace overlooking the ocean, a conditioner and a ventilator, a wall-mounted TV with a DVD player, Wi-Fi, a telephone, a mini bar, a safe, a hair-dryer, coffee and tea making facilities, a bathroom with a separate bathtub, shower, and a toilet, a dressing room, bathrobes and slippers.
68 Standard rooms 43 m2. a terrace or a balcony. Stylish rooms have simple geometrical shapes and pleasant colors. There is one King Size bed (1.8x2 m) or two Twin beds (1x2 m) in the bedrooms. Sliding doors separate the bathroom from the bedroom. Various wooden accessories make the room cozy so you may feel like home. There are connected rooms with adjacent doors.

104 Superior rooms 43 m2. The rooms have a terrace or a balcony. They are made in warm colours. A large elegant panel picture of bright tropical flowers looks amazingly beautiful. The rooms have a Queen Size bed (1.8 x 2 m) or two Twin (1 x 2 m) beds. Sliding doors separate the bedroom from a bathroom and these doors lead to a dressing room. The bathroom has a bathtub, 2 glass sinks, a separate shower, a toilet, and a large bathroom cabinet. The rooms of this category have also an iPod docking station, and a French press coffee maker. There are connected rooms with adjacent doors.

34 Beach rooms 43 m2. The rooms have a terrace or a balcony with the same facilities as the rooms of previous categories. These rooms are the most elegant in the hotel, and they are the closest to the beach. A splendid panel picture of an orchid makes the room especially charming. The bathroom has 2 white cup-shaped porcelain sinks, shower cabins made in golden and gray colors of Italian Bizzassa glass, and a large bathtub. The bathroom overlooks the sea and the garden. Kiatt wood from Northern Africa was used in the rooms' interior. The main principals of the design are laconism and clean lines. There are connected rooms with adjacent doors.

8 Family Deluxe Rooms – 59 m2. These are superior rooms with a bedroom for children. In addition to all facilities, the guests accommodated in these rooms are offered a 20% discount in the Spa centre and free 6 hours of nanny service during their stay.

RESTAURANTS
SHOW for 300 seats
The main restaurant offering international cuisine overlooks the pool. It has three thematic sections which add an exotic touch to this place. During the daytime, the restaurant serves delicious breakfasts and lunches to the guests. And in the evening you can enjoy deluxe buffet with your friends. The restaurant offers buffet breakfast and lunch, and buffet or a la carte dinner.
LA PLAYA for 65 seats
This beach restaurant and bar offers a la carte lunches, dinners and light snacks.
B Bar for 150 seats
This bar offers a wide selection of various cocktails, rum, beer and other alcohol of international brands. The bar is made of wood and surrounded by large comfortable armchairs. White and turquoise colors prevail in the bar's interior and wood finishes make the bar elegant and cozy. The globe-shaped ceiling is softly highlighted. The open hours are from 9.00 till midnight.

The LUX*Me Spa centre
The Spa centre develops the idea of harmonious interaction of races and cultures, unity and diversity, and offers the best body care methods. The centre has its own line of LUX* Me cosmetics which was developed by a famous aromatherapist Shirley Page. Wood, khaki and ochraceous colors prevail in the interior of the centre. The spa centre has 16 treatment rooms – 14 double rooms, one room for water treatments – Vichy showers, one room for beauty treatments (these rooms have a private shower and a garden), a 12 meter pool, a hot bathtub, jacuzzi, a sauna, a steam room, 2 rooms for face care treatments, a beauty salon, a hairdressing salon. The double treatment rooms have a private garden, hydrotherapy, and Vichy shower.
SPORT AND ENTERTAINMENT
For free: a gym, beach voleyball, table tennis, pétanque, tennis courts, mountain bikes.
At additional cost: billiards, slot machines. There is a great 18-hole golf course in Bel Ombre.
BOAT STATION
For free: windsurfing, canoes, water gymnastics, pedal boats, snorkeling, boat with transparent bottom, kayaks, sailing, underwater swimming, water ski. At additional cost: motor boat sea tours, diving (PADI).
THE KIDS CLUB

The center has a large amphitheater, a canteen in the terrace, computers with Internet access. The club is available for children from 3 to 11 years old. The children in the club are in the care of experienced staff who organizes various events daily from 9.00 to 23.00. Nanny service is available on request at additional cost.
TEENS CLUB - STUDIO17
From 12 to 17 years old: billiards, table tennis, beach volleyball, water polo, yoga, cycling trips, chess. The club is open daily from 9.00 am.
JALSA
This is the only night club in the southern part of the island which has developed the Tamassa's reputation as the most lively and vibrant nightlife spots in Mauritius. It is open from 23.00 on Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays.
