Bois Chéri

Bois Chéri is a small village dedicated to the cultivation and manufacture of tea. You will be warmly welcomed and guided on a complete tour around this splendid tea estate. Learn about the different production steps starting from plantation, harvesting and processing. You will also visit the tea museum before going to the chalet for a tea tasting, where a true riot of local flavors awaits you.

Crocodile Park

Located in the south of Mauritius inside a fabulous luxuriant park “La Vanille Réserve des Mascareignes” invites you through a visit to meet with its fascinating residents the Niles Crocodiles, tortoises, monkeys, iguanas, geckos, bats, deer, and many more. You will have also the chance to see at the insectariums, one the largest private collection of butterflies and insects from all over the world. The park also features an aquarium, an adventure play ground for the kids, a tortoise and fossil museum. After your visit, you can stop at the shop to buy luxurious crocodile leather products and made in Mauritius gift souvenirs.

Saint Aubin

The final step will take you about two kilometers south of the crocodile park, at Saint Aubin. You will be guided through a visit of about an hour where you will discover a beautiful colonial house built in 1819 which was the residence of the former owner of the sugar estate. Renovated in 1990, this place has been transformed into a superb restaurant. You will continue the visit of the domain at the anthurium and vanilla nurseries where you will discover the long transformation process of these beautiful orchid flowers to deliciously fragrance vanilla sticks. Then the distillery will reveal to you all the secrets of rum making. End up your visit by a rum tasting before moving to the restaurant for a delectable lunch in real a charming colonial ambience.
