Located south of the island, a few kilometers north of Souillac, the estate of Saint Aubin has been cultivating sugar cane since 1819. The distillery located on the estate itself was named after its former owner Mr. Pierre de Saint Aubin welcomes you for a dip in the local history of this region.
The estate consists of a distillery, a beautiful colonial house once the residence of the former owner now transform in a “Table D’hôte” restaurant. There is also an anthurium greenhouse, a vanilla nursery and a gift shop.
The distillery known for creating the first sugar cane based rum of the island. The tour will show you all the rum trade secrets. The visit will end with a rum tasting before going to the restaurant for a delicious lunch in a charming colonial ambience.
