Visit National Botanical Garden of Mauritius and you will make your holidays even more unforgettable. The Botanical Garden is also known as Sir Seewoosagur Botanic Garden. It is one the oldest gardens I the Southern Hemisphere. It was founded in 1770 by the French governor. It is located not far from Port Luis, the capital of Mauritius.
The area of the Botanical garden is about 37 hectares, so, you can spend endless time exploring the world of plants. More than 500 species of plants are presented here, most of them are endemic. The main attraction of the Garden is the pond with giant water lilies. Moreover, you will find a great collection of spices and palms from different parts of the world.
The garden is open every day from 8.30 to 17.00. You can use the guide’s service which is available at the entrance.
