Discovering The South

This excursion will make you discover the beautiful scenery of the south of Mauritius with its splendid tropical landscapes. The journey starts at the Trou aux Cerf, a dormant volcano located in the heart of Mauritius, where you can contemplate a 360 degrees panoramic view of the island. You will then visit other different tropical spectacular sites towards the south which include the holy lake of Grand Bassin with its temples, the Black River Gorges and the unique "Chamarel Seven Colored Earth" which is a natural phenomenon well known to those who visited Mauritius. During your visit to Chamarel you will also have the chance to discover the local rhum distillery.
