Curepipe, the city of light

Curepipe is a town located in the Plaines Wilhems District. French people used to call it La Ville-Lumière (the City of light) because it is the first city that was electrified. Nowadays Curepipe is a second city on the island and a commercial centre of Mauritius. Also, is located 550m above the sea, so the temperature here is average, and the climate is mild.
